I like my father Charles, detest the danger and stupidity of any progression bets. But I must tell you a true story that you may add to your knowledge about roulette.

It was on a business trip to London I went to get some cash money (running investments, we never see any cash) from the great casinos they have. I met a lady and funny enough she lived not far from our family home in Switzerland.

She was having a successful evening playing a “parlay” bet. I was intrigued to hear she was quite successful on an overall basis. I simply had to learn more. This is how she played, but I cannot tell you what she played. She picked nine numbers to bet each spin and she changed numbers to match the ever changing results.

I suppose you could say she was sort of “reading” the table on a running basis. Whenever she hit a winner she would “parlay” all plus the next bet on the next spin. By placing the next bet as well she could then keep the “parley” running until it lost. She then reverted to her normal fixed bet.

The bottom line of this story is that she is a winner. Not every session of course but with a 50% session win rate with some very big wins she was an overall winner. Her only losses are from a fixed playing bank.
